Tower Semiconductor and IQE announced a multi-year agreement for the supply of Indium Phosphide (InP) epiwafers for optical connectivity solutions for AI-driven data centre infrastructure. The agreement includes a minimum purchase commitment by Tower, a reciprocal supply commitment from IQE, and minimum volume commitments thereafter. Additionally, Tower will provide IQE a royalty-free license for porous silicon patents, settling all litigation regarding the subject matter. Tower Semiconductor is a semiconductor foundry for high-value analog semiconductor solutions.
