Universal Health Services reported third-quarter net income attributable to shareholders of $308.7 million, or $5.22 per diluted share, compared to $373.0 million, or $5.86 per diluted share, in the prior-year period. Net revenues rose 5.3% to $4.733 billion from $4.495 billion. Adjusted EBITDA net of noncontrolling interests declined to $624.6 million from $670.6 million. The company also announced it repurchased 1.35 million shares for approximately $242.1 million during the quarter, leaving $735.4 million in authorization remaining. Universal Health Services operates a network of acute care hospitals and behavioral health facilities across the United States.
