UMB Financial narrows C-suite roles as Shannon Johnson focuses full-time on risk management

Effective October 28, 2026, UMB Financial Corp. announced that Chief Risk Officer Shannon A. Johnson will devote her full attention to her role leading the enterprise risk-management function. Consequently, she will no longer hold the title of Chief Administrative Officer. The administrative responsibilities previously held by Ms. Johnson are being assumed within existing management structures rather than through a new hire. The company stated that this change does not reflect any disagreement with Ms. Johnson regarding operations or policies.
