Vale S.A. has commenced commissioning the long-distance conveyor belt for its Serra Sul +20 project at the S11D operation in Canaã dos Carajás, Brazil. This initiative is part of the Novo Carajás Program and aims to add 20 million tonnes per year (Mtpy) of production capacity alongside the Compact Ore Crusher project scheduled for start-up in the fourth quarter of 2026. The expansion enhances operational flexibility and supports Vale's goal to sustainably increase iron ore production to approximately 360 Mt by 2030.
