Vital Farms reports Q3 net loss of $6.5M and cuts FY26 revenue outlook to around $730M
VITLVital Farms, Inc.
Vital Farms reported a third-quarter net loss of $6.5 million, or $0.15 per diluted share, compared to a net income of $16.4 million in the prior-year period. Third-quarter net revenue fell 8.4% year over year to $182.2 million, driven by higher input costs and an unfavorable sales mix from excess egg inventory. The company lowered its full-year fiscal 2026 net revenue outlook to approximately $730 million from a previous range of $775 million to $800 million, while projecting an adjusted EBITDA loss of around $15 million. Additionally, Vital Farms withdrew its previously announced long-term financial targets for fiscal 2030. The company operates in the consumer packaged goods sector, producing and distributing ethically sourced eggs and related food products.
