West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. reported a net loss of $61 million for the second quarter ended July 3, 2026, and a net loss of $249 million year-to-date, compared to a net loss of $24 million in Q2 2025 and a net income of $18 million in YTD 2025. Sales declined to $1,434 million in Q2 from $1,532 million in the prior year period, driven by lower OSB pricing despite higher lumber prices and shipment volumes. The company recognized a $5 million restructuring and impairment reversal related to the indefinite curtailment of its High Level, Alberta OSB mill. Cash and cash equivalents decreased to $74 million from $202 million at year-end 2025, while long-term debt remained stable at $300 million. West Fraser operates as a diversified wood products company manufacturing lumber, engineered wood products, pulp, and paper across North America and Europe.
