Xcel Energy Inc. elected Peter Carter to its Board of Directors effective July 29, 2026, for a term expiring at the 2027 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. The board increased its size from ten to eleven members and appointed Mr. Carter to the Audit Committee and the Governance, Compensation and Nominating Committee. Mr. Carter currently serves as President of Delta Air Lines, having previously held roles as Executive Vice President, Chief External Affairs Officer, and Chief Legal Officer at the airline. He will receive compensation consistent with other non-employee directors on a prorated basis from his start date to the 2027 annual meeting. Xcel Energy Inc. is an electric and gas utility company that generates and distributes energy to customers across eight states.
