Brighthouse Financial appointed Richard A. Cook as Chief Accounting Officer effective September 3, 2026, succeeding Melissa B. Pavlovich who resigned on September 2, 2026 to pursue a new opportunity. The departure is unrelated to financial statements or accounting practices. Mr. Cook will receive an annual base salary of $425,000 and target short-term incentive compensation equal to 60% of his base salary, plus long-term incentives valued at $219,500. He previously served as Deputy Chief Accounting Officer and Interim CAO since joining the company in 2016.
