Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC reached a partial settlement with the North Carolina Utilities Commission Public Staff regarding its rate and charge adjustment application filed in November 2025. The settlement includes agreements on operating and maintenance costs, project-specific capital expenditures, and rider mechanisms, but excludes agreements on return on equity and capital structure. The settlement will result in a one-time pre-tax accounting charge of approximately $10 million to be recognized in the second quarter of 2026.
