Adecoagro S.A. completed the acquisition of the Caarapó Mill from Raízen Group for R$705 million (approximately US$136 million), paid in cash at closing on September 1, 2026. The mill had a crushing volume of 3.5 million tons during the 2025/26 harvest season, implying a purchase price of approximately US$39 per ton of capacity. Adecoagro plans to integrate Caarapó into its Mato Grosso do Sul cluster, expecting to crush 4.5 million tons in 2027 by processing excess sugarcane from existing operations. This acquisition brings the cluster's total expected crushing volume to 17 million tons in 2027. Adecoagro is a leading sustainable production company in South America that produces agricultural products, fertilizers, and renewable electricity.
