Braskem S.A. disclosed an amendment to its natural gas supply agreement with Petrobras, its co-controller, executed on August 28, 2026. The amendment extends the contract term from December 31, 2026, to December 31, 2029, and increases the contractual daily quantity of natural gas supplied by Braskem's subsidiary Voqen Energia Ltda. from a range of 300,000 m³/day to 1,000,000 m³/day. The estimated contract value is BRL 1,850,000,000.00. This transaction was approved by Braskem's Board of Directors and deemed to be on arm’s length terms based on market parameters. Braskem operates in the petrochemical industry, producing plastics and chemicals primarily from ethylene derived from both fossil fuels and renewable sources.
