BP reports $4.7B Q3 profit, $8.5B underlying RC profit as cash generation accelerates
BPBP PLC
BP reported third-quarter profit attributable to shareholders of $4.7 billion and underlying replacement cost (RC) profit of $8.5 billion, significantly higher than the prior year's $1.2 billion and $2.2 billion respectively. The nine-month underlying RC profit reached $17.4 billion compared with $5.9 billion in 2025. Operating cash flow for the quarter surged to $14.8 billion from $7.8 billion a year earlier, while net debt decreased to $13.9 billion from $26.1 billion at year-end 2025. The results were driven by significantly higher realized refining margins and stronger gas marketing trading performance. BP operates in the integrated oil and gas industry.
