Flutter Entertainment plc announced a restructuring plan for its United Kingdom & Ireland business to mitigate the impact of increased gaming taxes. The company expects to reduce headcount by up to 1,400 employees across locations in Leeds, Dublin, Portugal, and Romania. Flutter estimates aggregate pre-tax charges of $80 million to $90 million for severance and related costs, with implementation expected to be substantially complete by the end of 2026. The company stated that the restructuring aims to preserve investment in its customer proposition and support long-term market share gains despite the challenging tax environment.
