GSK plc announced an agreement to acquire a potential best-in-class trispecific T cell-engager (TCE) targeting multiple myeloma from Chimagen Biosciences. The asset binds to T cells and two tumour-associated antigens, aiming for improved efficacy and tolerability compared to existing therapies. GSK plans to develop the programme globally, with phase I trials expected in 2027. The deal carries a total potential value of up to $750 million, comprising an upfront fee and success-based milestones. This acquisition aligns with GSK’s strategy to expand its oncology portfolio in blood cancers. GSK is a global biopharmaceutical company focused on vaccines, specialty medicines, and consumer healthcare.
