On July 22, 2026, GSK announced that the US FDA approved Jideytro (zidesamtinib) for adult patients with locally advanced or metastatic ROS1-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who previously received a ROS1 kinase inhibitor. This marks GSK's first approval in lung cancer. The approval was based on the ARROS-1 phase I/II trial (n=117), which showed an objective response rate of 44%, with duration of response rates of 82% at six months and 69% at 12 months. Jideytro was acquired through the recent purchase of Nuvalent, Inc. GSK is also awaiting an FDA decision on neladalkib (NVL-655) by November 27, 2026. GSK is a global biopharma company that develops medicines to treat various diseases, including oncology.
