Sanofi breaks ground on new insulin manufacturing facility in Frankfurt

Sanofi broke ground on a new state-of-the-art insulin manufacturing facility at its BioCampus in Frankfurt, Germany. The project occupies a 36,000-square-meter footprint and leverages advanced digital technologies and artificial intelligence across manufacturing and quality processes. Full production of the active pharmaceutical ingredient is planned for 2032 once the facility receives full licensing. This investment strengthens Sanofi's long-term ability to provide reliable insulin supply to millions of people with diabetes globally, building on more than a century of expertise at the site.
