The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved subcutaneous Sarclisa Escena for the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma (MM) across all existing intravenous indications. This marks the first anticancer treatment approved for administration via an on-body injector (OBI) using Enable Injections' CirCLIQ device. The approval follows the phase 3 IRAKLIA study, which demonstrated non-inferiority in efficacy, pharmacokinetics, and safety compared to intravenous administration. The subcutaneous formulation offers a more convenient administration experience for patients and reduces the physical burden on healthcare providers. Sanofi is a biopharma company that develops medicines and vaccines.
