Ecopetrol S.A. announced that President Ricardo Roa Barragán will return from a leave of absence on July 27, 2026, to serve until July 30, 2026. Following his departure, Juan Carlos Hurtado Parra, the First Alternate to the President, will be appointed Acting President effective July 31, 2026, pending a new selection process. The Board of Directors acknowledged Roa Barragán's contributions to the company's energy transition and financial efficiencies.
