Ecopetrol S.A.'s Board of Directors announced on August 27, 2026, that five senior executives will depart effective August 30, 2026. Miguel Ángel Cortés Angarita, Álvaro Iván Saavedra Barón, Juliana Perdomo Valencia, Adrian Santiago Coral Pantoja, and Ana Carolina Ríos Junco have been appointed as acting Vice Presidents or Directors to replace Sandra Lucía Rodríguez Rojas, Jaime Andrés García Cuello, Diana Marcela Jiménez Rodríguez, Julián Fernando Lemos Valero, and Felipe Trujillo López, respectively. The company stated it will announce permanent appointments in due course. Ecopetrol is the largest integrated energy company in Colombia, dominating hydrocarbon production, refining, petrochemicals, gas distribution, and holding significant stakes in power transmission and road concessions across Latin America.
