Flutter Entertainment ceases Brazil operations after government order, expects $70M revenue hit
FLUTFlutter Entertainment plc
Flutter Entertainment plc ceased its online sports betting and iGaming operations in Brazil following a provisional executive order issued by the Brazilian Government on September 25, 2026. The company is reviewing options to appeal the measure while engaging with authorities for sensible regulation. If operations cannot resume before year-end, Flutter expects a revenue reduction of approximately $70 million and an adjusted EBITDA decline of roughly $20 million in fiscal 2026. The executive order requires Congressional approval within 120 days to remain effective; rejection would allow operations to recommence. At Q2 2026, Flutter Brazil's carrying value included $539 million in goodwill and other intangible assets. Flutter Entertainment plc is the world’s leading online sports betting and iGaming operator.
