Standard Lithium Ltd.'s Smackover Lithium partnership announced a binding take-or-pay offtake agreement with LG Energy Solution for the South West Arkansas Project. The contract commits to supplying 8,000 metric tons annually of battery-grade lithium carbonate over ten years. This deal brings total committed offtake volume to approximately 90% of the project's initial phase nameplate capacity, following a prior agreement with Trafigura. The partnership targets a Final Investment Decision in 2026, with construction planned to begin promptly thereafter and first commercial production expected in 2029. Standard Lithium Ltd. operates in the lithium mining industry, developing projects to produce battery-grade lithium carbonate.
