VEON agrees to acquire Perfectum for $207M to consolidate Uzbekistan telecom market

VEON Ltd. has agreed to acquire 100% of Rubicon Wireless, the operator behind the Perfectum brand in Uzbekistan, for total consideration of approximately USD 207 million, inclusive of assumed debt of roughly USD 93 million. The transaction is funded from VEON's existing cash resources and follows receipt of relevant regulatory approvals, with completion expected by the end of October 2026. The acquisition adds 115 MHz of spectrum across the 850 MHz and 3,800 MHz bands to Beeline Uzbekistan, increasing its spectrum holdings by approximately 50% and supporting future 5G and fixed wireless access expansion. VEON Ltd. is a global digital operator providing connectivity and digital services across five countries.
